    23rd February 2015 - Thoughts on a Walk

A bright and clear day to set out from One Tree Hill and sample the delights of the Greensand Way, Fairlawne Park, Ivy Hatch and Broadhoath Wood.

Nice views over the weald of Kent.

A delicious and substantial lunch at The Padwell, Stone Street.
9.2 miles in total, but don’t mention the mud! As one lady said it was a yomp not a walk!

To the 24 hearty souls, who joined me, many thanks for your support.

I so appreciate all your hard work in setting up this site and organising our extended Monday walks.

    We enjoy them so much.

We now know all the Crockenhill walkers, a really nice group, and you have made us new comers so welcome.

    Many thanks

    the other Margaret !

We both enjoyed the walk in the snow this morning. And a visit to the Olympic made a nice change. Good to see kids having fun on High Firs sliding down on sleges. Hope you got some good pictures
    Alan!
